Tyler Tischendorf Gets Back on Track With Solid MSA Weekend

“It’s nice to be able to focus on driving again!” Tyler Tischendorf and the Green Bay Blizzard 26T Team have seemingly worked out the mechanical gremlins plaguing their 2021 power plant, and none too soon. “We only figured it out right before hot laps at Beaver Dam.” Tischendorf said. “Of course it was an extremely small thing that made the difference and I can’t thank Buege himself enough for coming out to the track and working on it with us to get the car back on track.”

Tischendorf put in two solid performances over the two race weekend, with his first Top 15 finish at Beaver Dam Raceway, driving 16th to 14th in a chaos filled feature that saw the entire field dotted with lapped cars amongst the top 10 drivers, and that stalled any overtaking for position after a late race caution.

“It felt good to just race and not worry about having to pull off.” Tischendorf said. “I was up to about 10th at one point but the restarts were a setback and I just lost some ground near the end that I couldn’t get back with that last restart.”

The 26T then moved to Plymouth on Saturday night for PDTR’s weekly program with the MSA Sprints. Tischendorf ran a strong 4th from 5th in his heat race and started 13th in the 25 lap feature. Unfortunately, the track was rubbered on the bottom, and nearly any attempt to pass off the low lane resulted in loss of positions, which Tyler fell victim to.

“I just tried too hard off the bottom.” He said. “I wanted somewhere else to work and by the time I realized it wouldn’t, I was back 3 spots.” Tischendorf came home 16th on Saturday. Still a solid weekend overall and considering the start of the season, a step in the right direction.

“We’re getting better and better every week reliability wise, and now that we have that figured out, now it’s on me to get better behind the wheel every week.” Tischendorf said about the weekend.

Next up for Tyler Tischendorf Racing is Saturday night, back at The Dirt Track at Plymouth for their regular PDTR program.
