Goldesberry Makes Outlaw Appearance at Wilmot, Spoon River Double on Deck

With seemingly everywhere in the country suffering from adverse weather conditions, Jordan Goldesberry and the Rockstar Energy Drink #65 Team thought it paramount to race while they have the opportunity.

“We debated where to race last weekend for pretty much all day Thursday and Friday.” Goldesberry said. “We ended up settling on Wilmot and ended up with a pretty solid night against the Outlaws.”

Goldesberry put in a sterling effort, running from 7th to 6th in his heat race transferring straight to the A Main, with a 22nd place finish in the Larry Hillerud Memorial Badger 40 feature.

“We were a little off in qualifying but not terrible considering the field of cars.” The 2022 IRA Champion said of the night’s efforts. “We made it straight through the heat and were pretty competitive in the feature until we lost an ignition box with 2 laps to go. Tough break for sure but overall we’re pretty happy with how the night went with it being a spontaneous decision and it being against the Outlaws.”

Up next, Goldesberry plans to contest a doubleheader weekend with the MOWA sprint cars at the fearsome Spoon River Speedway just outside of Peoria, IL this Friday and Saturday.

“It’ll be nice to race fairly close to home this weekend. Hopefully we can put in a good showing before we get back with the IRA next weekend.”
