#TeamMAS Driver Will Gerrits Looks to Put “Worst Case Scenario” Race in the Rearview

Rule #1 of racing in a team: Don’t wreck your teammate. Whether you can put the blame on the driver of the #21 GCM/NAPA Car or not, contact between Will Gerrits and his teammate Tyler Brabant resulted in the latter going for a wild ride, and terminal damage for the #21 as well. Both cars would sit out the rest of the evening, but after a week’s worth of toils in the shop, both cars will be in competition this Saturday at Plymouth in MSA/PDTR 360 action.

Gerrits has enjoyed mostly clean nights this season, and had been riding a 5 race top 10 streak in MSA competition heading into last Saturday, and as a result was sitting comfortably in the top 10 in points. As a result of last week’s mishap, “The Flying Dutchman” has dropped to 12th in points, but still only 12 points outside the top 10 drivers. Making up ground in the fiercely competitive MSA is no easy task, but stringing solid results together seems to be what Gerrits does best, and that’s exactly what the #21 team needs heading into the back half of this crazy 2020 season.

Racing at Plymouth this Saturday will get underway at 6:00 PM. You can follow Will Gerrits on Facebook at Will Gerrits Racing, on Instagram @will_gerrits, and on Twitter @WillGerrits. You can follow #TeamMAS on Facebook at MAS AutoSports and on Twitter @mas_autosports.
