Tommy Colburn and Colburn Motorsports will make their Chili Bowl debut this January behind the wheel of a Mounce/Stout Motorsports prepared midget at the Tulsa Expo Center in Tulsa, OK.
Colburn contested his first full season of midget competition in 2023 with the highly competitive Badger Midget Auto Racing Association series based out of Wisconsin and Illinois. “The Cool Cat” racked up 8 Top 10’s with both Badger and the sister MARA series en route to 12th place in MARA points and 16th in Badger points out of 25+ full time drivers.
2023 also included Colburn’s BC39 debut at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway dirt track, so the New Berlin, WI native is no stranger to the big stage.
“We’re just going to go have fun and learn as much as we can.” Colburn said of the Tulsa trip. “Midgets are still fairly new to me, but I felt like towards the end of the year we really started to pick up some speed. Hopefully we can take that momentum with us to Tulsa.”
Colburn will pilot the #1HD Spike Chassis with support from the Harley-Davidson Museum of Milwaukee, WI and Planet Gain, partnering with Mounce/Stout Motorsports and Rockwell Security, Schure Built Suspensions and Stanton Racing Engines.
