Bailey Goldesberry Announces IRA Rookie of the Year Chase and Partners for 2021

2020 was a trying year for many race teams. With constantly changing schedules, and a level of uncertainty surrounding nearly every event, teams were forced to look beyond their usual stomping grounds to simply find races. Bailey Goldesberry’s #4 sprint car program was one of those such teams. Forced to look north to the IRA 410 Sprint Car series amidst a sporadic MOWA schedule and limited 360/305 races in her regular area of Central and Southern Illinois, the Springfield driver felt ready to make the move to a 410 sprint car, and the team saw a respectable debut four races with the ultra-competitive IRA series in Wisconsin.

With a solid “trial run” in a 410 sprint car under her belt, Goldesberry is looking to make a full go of it in 2021, committing to “as many IRA events as possible” and a run at the Sage Fruit Rookie of the Year Award, which was taken in 2020 by former road racing star and European Le Mans Champion Sean Rayhall.

The 20 year old Goldesberry has a storied career up to this point, taking over 300 Quarter Midget wins, 8 Winged Outlaw Micro Sprint wins, and 4 305 Sprint Car wins up to this point. The move to 410 sprint cars has proven to be a steep learning curve, but Goldesberry showed she was up to the challenge last season, finding more pace the more races she ran, and a solid jumping off point for the 2021 season.

“I’m looking forward to contending for the Sage Fruit Rookie of the Year in 2021 with the IRA Sprints!” Goldesberry said. “We had a lot of fun in Wisconsin last season. The people were great and we can’t wait to try and tackle a nearly full IRA schedule. The goal is just to learn a lot as we proceed throughout the summer.”

Bailey Goldesberry and the #4 Team bring with them a fantastic contingent of sponsors to the IRA series, including primary sponsor Lonewolf Petroleum, as well as Rock Solid Lawn and Landscape, Hilltop Nursery, Maxim Chassis, FK Rod Ends, Puremax Racing Oil, PMX Hose and Fittings, Ultra Shield Racing Products, Pulse Racing Innovations, MyRacePass, Keizer Racing Wheels, Campball’s Auto Body, Capital City Powder Coating, SchureBuilt Suspensions, FK Shocks, Goldesberry Signs and Designs, and Design Studio 66.

Bailey Goldesberry Racing is also proud to welcome Swindell SpeedLab and K1 Race Gear to the team for the 2021 season.

The IRA and Goldesberry will begin their season at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, IA on World Wide Sprint Car Day, April 10th (4/10). The entirety of the 2021 IRA season will be broadcast live on the FloRacing streaming service. Visit FloRacing.com to subscribe.
